About the Opportunity:

This role is responsible for ensuring efficient staffing and scheduling processes across various regions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate employee bookings in accordance with collective agreements, facility rules, and company policies.
  • Fulfill vacant shifts resulting from immediate book-offs, unfilled positions due to vacations or leaves of absence.
  • Process requests for unplanned leaves and additional staffing needs.
  • Maintain accurate records of employee hours worked, including agency staff.
  • Manage short calls and emergency schedule changes.
  • Forecast future staffing requirements two weeks in advance to ensure adequate coverage.
  • Utilize Vocantas Automated Staffing program to streamline staffing calls.
  • Develop schedules that effectively utilize resources while minimizing unnecessary overtime.

About You:

We're looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented individual with experience in scheduling and staffing.

Requirements:

  • Secondary education or diploma in a related field.
  • Previous experience in scheduling and staffing, preferably in healthcare.
  • Working knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Word.
  • Experience with computerized staffing systems is an asset.
  • Demonstrated flexibility in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and multi-tasking skills.
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Salary Range: $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience.
