Job Summary

As an Electrical Project Coordinator at The Cahill Group, you will report directly to the Electrical Manager and assist with day-to-day administration tasks. Your responsibilities will include procuring goods and services, preparing and managing purchase orders, reviewing and approving invoices, and expediting delivery of goods to sites.



Key Responsibilities


  • Procure goods and services such as conduit, wire, fixtures, equipment, tools, parts and supplies for industrial and commercial projects
  • Prepare and manage purchase orders electronically
  • Review and approve invoices for payment
  • Expedite and coordinate delivery of goods to sites
  • Inventory management
  • Review supplier bid proposals and negotiate contracts within budgetary limitations and scope of work
  • Provide project support, including obtaining and submitting shop drawings, coordinating assembly of operation and maintenance manuals, and assisting with project schedules, commissioning and closeout documentation
  • Maintain material Safety Data Sheet and WHMIS information
  • Assist with material take-offs and project change orders
  • Assist with project tender and bid submissions, interpreting project specifications and drawings
  • Attend project meetings as required


Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will have a graduate degree from a recognized engineering technology program or 10+ years' experience in the electrical construction industry. You will also need great communication skills, the ability to work closely and effectively with other departments, team members, suppliers, general and subcontractors, and be detail-oriented and self-directed.



Work Environment

This is a permanent, full-time position working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. The Cahill Group is committed to creating a culture of belonging in the workplace and welcomes applications from diverse candidates.



Salary: $65,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
