As a key member of our IT team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the success of our procurement operations. You will work closely with our procurement team to identify opportunities for improvement and develop effective solutions to business problems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with procurement team members to understand business needs and develop functional and technical requirements documentation
  • Translate business needs into detailed requirements and technical specifications
  • Work with IT team members, vendors, and business stakeholders to establish and implement effective solutions to business problems
  • Identify opportunities for improvement within business processes and technology solutions related to procurement
  • Collaborate with managed services to support procurement and fleet management applications
  • Understand and advocate for enterprise strategies
  • Collaborate with other teams to assess downstream impacts to procurement group
  • Serve as project manager or technical lead to ensure business value is provided in a timely and cost-effective manner
Requirements
  • Graduate of a recognized university with a degree in computer science, engineering, business, or other relevant field
  • Minimum of 8 years of directly related and progressively responsible experience in supporting ERP applications solution design and development, including cross-domain experience with a strong preference for proficient understanding in SAP and SAP S4 environments
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working with supporting procurement-related applications
  • Experience with SAP Ariba, FieldGlass, and other cloud-based procurement and fleet management solutions considered an asset
  • Ability to travel
  • Adept at building and maintaining strong working relationships and collaborating and communicating effectively in a business environment
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with decentralized and remote teams
  • Experience working with and leading off-shore teams is a strong preference
  • Superior time management skills, able to support multiple project initiatives simultaneously
  • Proficient in translating business problems into detailed requirements and technical specifications
  • Adept at developing business cases, requirement documentation, and test plans to support system activity
  • History of serving as technical lead and/or project manager on project initiatives
  • Demonstrates history of continuous training and learning in technology, leadership, and communication
  • Experience applying the processes of the software development life cycle
