Position Overview:

The Business Architect plays a pivotal role within the enterprise architecture department, collaborating with business leaders to enhance essential capabilities and drive the organization towards its strategic objectives through targeted programs, projects, and initiatives. This role demands a practical application of both established and emerging technologies to adapt to evolving business and operational models.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and oversee Architecture Blueprint deliverables, which include: Business Capability Models, Technology Roadmaps, High-Level Solutions for strategic initiatives, Technology Reference Models, and Solution Design Documents.
  • Ensure technology governance aligns with the strategic direction of the organization.
  • Evaluate proposed architectures to confirm that solutions are comprehensive, secure, actionable, and supportable.
  • Assist in planning initiatives that enable or support corporate goals.
  • Lead architecture planning and capacity management to optimize performance, reliability, and value.
  • Provide governance and leadership for project-based architects to ensure alignment with the enterprise vision and strategy.
  • Act as a solution architect for various business initiatives, including transformation, standardization, and optimization across the enterprise.
  • Encourage and facilitate the integration of technology and innovation to bolster business strategies and capabilities.

Required Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, System Analysis, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • A minimum of 10 years of IT and business experience, including at least 5 years in architecture design and deployment, systems lifecycle management, and cloud/hybrid operations.
  • Experience with diverse technologies and processing environments.
  • Proven track record in designing and implementing complex end-to-end solutions.
  • Relevant certifications such as CGEIT, COBIT, TOGAF, ITIL, MCSE Cloud Platform and Infrastructure, or AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional are advantageous.
  • Experience in supporting and architecting work management systems.
  • Hands-on experience with a wide range of Microsoft Azure Services, including infrastructure services, identity, security, analytics, machine learning, AI, DevOps practices, and integration services.

  • Proficient in designing and implementing enterprise-level architectural solutions.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess system requirements and align IT strategies with business objectives.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to effectively present architectural plans and concepts.
  • Adept at problem-solving and decision-making to address technical challenges and business needs.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and staying updated with emerging technologies and architectural trends.
  • Ability to mentor and guide team members, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
