About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Administrative and Financial Director to join our team at the Government of Canada - Western. This is a critical leadership position that requires a strategic thinker with excellent financial management skills.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for allocating resources, establishing financial and administrative controls, and formulating policies and programs. This role involves coordinating the work of regions, divisions or departments, and selecting middle managers and executive staff.

Responsibilities
  1. Financial Management: Allocate material, human, and financial resources to implement organizational policies and programs.
  2. Policy Development: Establish financial and administrative controls; formulate and approve promotional campaigns; and approve overall human resources planning.
  3. Leadership: Coordinate the work of regions, divisions or departments, and select middle managers and executive staff.
  4. Representation: Represent the organization in negotiations or other official functions.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5 years or more experience
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Interpersonal awareness and team player
  • Experience with MS Office applications
Work Environment

This is a fast-paced environment that requires attention to detail, tight deadlines, and a large workload. The ideal candidate must be able to work under pressure and maintain excellent relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.

Compensation and Benefits
