Job Summary

CANADIAN NUCLEAR LABORATORIES (CNL) is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to support our research and environmental monitoring efforts. As a Nuclear Research Assistant, you will play a key role in assisting our team with various projects, including biodiversity monitoring, data entry, and public engagement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with biodiversity monitoring and data collection
  • Enter data into the Environmental Data Management System (EDMS)
  • Support public engagement and outreach activities
  • Prepare presentation materials and reports
  • Conduct research and analysis as needed
Requirements
  • 2nd year or higher of university/college studying Conservation Biology, Environmental Technician / Technology / Assessment, Ecology, Environmental Monitoring, Sustainability
  • Strong organizational, record keeping, and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
  • Familiarity with Bird Studies Canada (BSC) and Chimney Swift monitoring programs is an asset
  • Familiarity with Excel and EDMS is an asset
