Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Regional Vice-President of Sales and Distribution to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving sales growth, improving operational efficiency, and developing a high-performing team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Profitable Sales Growth
    • Achieve sales targets by creating and implementing effective sales strategies.
    • Partner with customers to enhance relationships, understand market trends, and resolve escalated issues.
    • Access and leverage data to inform sales decisions and drive growth.
  • Operational Excellence
    • Ensure compliance with all laws, regulations, and internal policies related to managerial responsibilities.
    • Support company procedures for branch operational procedures.
    • Monitor and manage accurate time and attendance records and associated labor costs.
  • Employee Performance Management & Development
    • Establish connectivity between branch goals and individual employee goals.
    • Complete timely and meaningful employee evaluations.
    • Support employee development plans and objective evaluations.
  • Leadership
    • Adhere to the Code of Conduct and all company policies.
    • Lead by example, projecting valued behaviors in all interactions with customers, suppliers, and employees.
  • Business Strategy
    • Analyze data and market intelligence to inform business decisions.
    • Present proposals for ideas or plans beyond authority to support overall business strategy.
Requirements
  • Educational/Experience/Skill
    • Experience in a management role, preferably in distribution and sales.
    • Building products experience is an asset, with a technical background.
    • Financial acumen, with a working knowledge of P&Ls.
    • Post-secondary education, preferably in business or management.
    • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, AS 400, and PowerPoint.
    • Strong leadership skills and excellent communication skills.
  • Behavioural/Mental/Physical Effort
    • Natural dispositions should include high dominance and highly influential, with low steadiness.
    • Poise under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
    • Regular travel required for customer interaction and company meetings.
  • Aptitude
    • Reasoning and judgment to hold information and solve problems.
    • Perceptual speed to recognize detail, including error and accuracy.
    • Numeracy to handle quantitative concepts and numbers.
