About the Role

SUSHI JET ASIAN CUISINE is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Human Resources Officer to join our team. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for providing strategic support to our management team and ensuring that our employees are equipped to deliver exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Staffing and Recruitment: Identify current and prospective staffing requirements, prepare and post job notices and advertisements, collect and screen applicants, and advise job applicants on employment requirements and terms and conditions of employment.
  • Employee Relations: Administer staff consultation and grievance procedures, provide information or services such as employee assistance and counseling, and advise managers and employees on staffing policies and procedures.
  • Benefits and Compensation: Review candidate inventories, contact potential applicants to arrange interviews, notify applicants of results of selection process and prepare job offers, and negotiate settlements of appeals and disputes.
  • HR Administration: Supervise personnel clerks performing filing, typing and record-keeping duties, and recruit and hire staff.
Requirements
  • Education: College/CEGEP diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in human resources, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to multitask, and proficiency in MS Excel, MS Outlook, and MS Word.
  • Security and Safety: Ability to obtain a criminal record check.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Ability to work under pressure and maintain attention to detail.
  • Personal Suitability: Team player with a positive attitude and ability to adapt to changing priorities.
