Ward Clerk, Birth Unit

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Ward Clerk to join our team in the Birth Unit. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of reception and clerical duties, including data entry, ordering lab specimens, and maintaining supplies.
Key Responsibilities- Utilize OBTV and Meditech for data entry and patient management
- Order and maintain supplies, including lab specimens
- Perform transport functions and answer phones
- Assemble discharge and assessment charts
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Graduate from a recognized Office Administration Program preferred
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and other computer programs/technology
- Knowledge of SAP and Medical Terminology an asset
- Experience using OBTV and Meditech preferred
- Keyboarding skills minimum of 40 wpm required, 60 wpm preferred
- Data entry skills required
- Proven team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to respectfully work with a variety of inter-professional team members
- High degree of initiative, diligence, attention to detail, and self-discipline/focus
- Commitment to continual learning and willing to share knowledge and support the development of co-workers
- Excellent multi-tasking, organizational, and prioritization skills
- Competency in other languages considered an asset
