We are seeking an experienced Senior Land Development Director to join our team at South Winds Development Co Inc., a company with a rich legacy of sustainable land development and environmental stewardship.

Competitive Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per year

About the Role:

As a Senior Land Development Director, you will play a crucial role in shaping our mission to set the standard for sustainable developments by creating neighbourhoods with a minimum of 30% greenspace. You will oversee the planning, execution, and completion of all development projects, ensuring that they meet our high-quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies for project management, ensuring timely completion and within budget
  • Coordinate and supervise the work of operational staff, providing guidance and support as needed
  • Manage external consultants and contractors, ensuring adherence to contracts and milestones
  • Set and lead project teams, setting project schedules and managing workload
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and other legal requirements

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Real Estate Development, or a related field
  • At least 7 years of experience in a senior management role within the construction or real estate industry, engineering
  • Extensive knowledge of development processes, construction techniques, and project management best practices
