Salary
We offer a competitive salary range of $25.95 to $29.76 per hour, with opportunities for career advancement and professional growth. Plus, comprehensive benefits enrollment as per the Collective Agreement.
Job Description
The Residence Worker, Mental Health position is a vital role within our organization, responsible for providing input to care plans, ensuring resident adherence to facility rules, and offering emotional support and feedback to clients and their families. As a key member of our team, you will participate in social, recreational, employment, educational, and other programs aimed at assisting residents' case/care plans.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To excel in this role, you will require:
• A valid class 5 driver's license
• Personal transportation in good repair, insured for business up to $1,000,000 for liability, and suitable for client transport
• Demonstrated ability to respond efficiently in crisis and escalated situations
• Diploma in Social Services and one year of relevant experience (or equivalent combination)
• Background in professional or lived experience working with vulnerable populations facing multiple barriers
• Successful completion of a Vulnerable Persons Criminal Records Check and reference checks
• Evidence of compliance with the province's immunization and tuberculosis control programs
• Current Emergency First Aid Certificate
• Proof of Covid-19 Vaccination
