Job Summary

The Clinical Mental Health Nurse will provide treatment and care management services to individuals with mental illness and concurrent disorders in a community mental health setting. This role will work collaboratively with the interprofessional care team to provide person-centered and recovery-oriented care.

Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate care for clients by collaborating with interprofessional care team members, conducting mental health assessments, and developing comprehensive treatment plans.
- Provide direct nursing care to clients, including reviewing client history, conducting physical and psychosocial assessments, and implementing treatment modalities as required.
- Establish and maintain therapeutic relationships with clients and their informal support network, engaging stakeholders in treatment planning and evaluation.
- Provide treatment services, including crisis intervention, individual counseling, and education, according to various theoretical models.

Requirements

- Graduation from an approved School of Nursing or Psychiatric Nursing.
- Two years of recent related experience providing treatment services to individuals with mental health and/or concurrent disorders.
- Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse and/or Registered Psychiatric Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives.
- Valid Class 5 BC Driver's License and access to personal vehicle with appropriate insurance coverage.
