About the Role

  • Create standards and processes for drafting agreements, mitigate contractual risks, and align business processes with contractual obligations.
  • Support the company's interests in all legal proceedings, including litigations, arbitrations, and hearings as required.
  • Ensure firm operations comply with relevant laws and regulations, managing legal risks effectively.
  • Provide guidance and support to legal staff on all legal inquiries and requests.
  • Advise on regulatory and contractual issues, reviewing applicable statutes and regulations.
  • Source external legal support and manage contractual relationships as needed.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their legal needs are met professionally.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor of Law (LLB) from an accredited Canadian university and current membership with the Law Society.
  • A Master of Business Administration (MBA) would be considered an asset.
  • 10+ years of experience in Corporate and/or Contract Law, with a minimum of 3 years in the Aviation sector.
  • Excellent business acumen, commercial agreement understanding, attention to detail, and analytical thinking.
  • Ability to respond under pressure, negotiate conflicts, and build lasting relationships.
  • Effective communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and ability to attend presentations.
  • A valid Canadian passport for occasional travel.

Estimated Salary Range: $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, based on experience and location.
