Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Commercial Markets Leader to join our team at RBC. As a key member of our Commercial Financial Services (CFS) team, you will be responsible for leading and coaching a team of Senior Commercial Relationship Managers to deliver exceptional client experiences and drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and coach a team of relationship management specialists to ensure best-in-class client experiences and drive business growth.
  • Develop and maintain strong practice management routines with the SCM Client Relationship Team and partner routines with Mid-Market Commercial to ensure alignment of expertise and capability to each client relationship.
  • Work in close partnership with CFS Finance and Group Risk Management to support client credit needs and ensure a strong culture of risk management and compliance.
  • Collaborate with leaders across RBC to drive business growth and develop strong talent management routines, including training and development plans for each relationship manager.
  • Ensure a strong market presence through attending industry and client events and maintaining an active network of external partners and centres of influence (COIs).
Requirements
  • Strong sales leadership experience with a minimum of five years' experience in large commercial credit ($5MM+).
  • Undergraduate degree in Business, Economics, Accounting, or Finance with strong analytical skills and ability to analyze company financial statements.
  • Proven track record in financial and credit analysis in support of exceptional client relationship management.
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to perform well under pressure, and manage multiple tasks while meeting time-sensitive deadlines.
  • Experience and comfort with emerging technology, including video conferencing, social media, digital banking, and mobile applications.
  • MBA and/or CFA preferred.
  • Experience managing remote teams.
