We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Commercial Markets Leader to join our team at Royal Bank of Canada. As a key member of our Commercial Financial Services (CFS) team, you will be responsible for leading and coaching a team of Senior Commercial Relationship Managers to deliver exceptional client experiences and drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and coach a team of relationship management specialists to ensure best-in-class client experiences and achieve sales results, portfolio profitability, and strong client relationships.
- Play an active role in relationship management of the most complex client relationships, working closely with CFS Finance and Group Risk Management to support client credit needs.
- Develop and maintain strong practice management routines with the SCM Client Relationship Team and partner routines with Mid-Market Commercial to ensure alignment of the right expertise and capability to each client relationship.
- Collaborate with leaders across RBC to bring the best of RBC to businesses, business owners, and their employees, maintaining a strong market presence and active network of external partners and centres of influence (COIs).
- Ensure strong talent management routines are in place, including training and development plans for each relationship manager, and maintain an active and diverse pipeline of talent to meet future team requirements.
- Strong sales leadership experience with a proven track record in large commercial credit ($5MM+).
- Strong business development skills with proven abilities in development of COIs.
- Minimum five years' experience in large commercial credit ($5MM+).
- Undergraduate degree in Business, Economics, Accounting, or Finance with strong analytical skills and ability to analyze company financial statements.
- Professional verbal and written communication skills with a high level of attention to detail.
- Proven track record in financial and credit analysis in support of exceptional client relationship management.
- Strong organizational skills, ability to perform well under pressure, manage multiple tasks while meeting time-sensitive deadlines.
- Experience and comfort with emerging technology (e.g. video conferencing, social media, digital banking, and mobile applications).
