Job Title: Senior Scientist I

The University Health Network (UHN) is a leading research teaching hospital in Canada, and we are seeking a highly qualified Senior Scientist to join our team. As a Senior Scientist, you will be responsible for maintaining an original, competitive, and independently funded research program of international caliber.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish and maintain a research program that is recognized internationally for its excellence.
  • Teach at the undergraduate and graduate levels, contributing to the education and development of future researchers.
  • Qualify for an academic cross-appointment as an Associate Professor (status only) in the Department of Physiology, Faculty of Medicine, at the University of Toronto.
Qualifications:
  • Ph.D. in a relevant scientific discipline, with significant postdoctoral research experience and an established record of research excellence.
  • Demonstrate evidence of outstanding peer-reviewed publications, successful research funding, and international recognition through presentations at significant conferences.
  • Expertise in developing cutting-edge technologies and strengths in neural circuits, systems neuroscience, and plasticity are highly valued.
