Job Title: Senior Scientist I

We are seeking an exceptional Senior Scientist to join our team at the Krembil Research Institute at University Health Network (UHN). As a Senior Scientist, you will be part of a dynamic research environment that fosters innovation and collaboration.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will have a proven track record in neuroscience research and a strong commitment to teaching and mentorship. You will be responsible for maintaining an original, competitive, and independently funded research program of international caliber. You will also be expected to teach at the undergraduate and graduate levels and qualify for an academic cross-appointment as an Associate Professor (status only) in the Department of Physiology, Faculty of Medicine, at the University of Toronto.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and maintain an original, competitive, and independently funded research program of international caliber.
  • Teach at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
  • Qualify for an academic cross-appointment as an Associate Professor (status only) in the Department of Physiology, Faculty of Medicine, at the University of Toronto.
Qualifications
  • Ph.D. in a relevant scientific discipline.
  • Significant postdoctoral research experience and an established record of research excellence.
  • Evidence of outstanding peer-reviewed publications, successful research funding, and international recognition through presentations at significant conferences and other venues.
