Job Title: Applied Research Scientist

We are seeking an experienced Applied Research Scientist to join our Scientific team on a full-time, permanent basis. This position will be based out of our head office in Liberty Village and will require candidates to be in-office 5-days a week.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct research on raw materials to identify their mode of action and recommend the best materials for product development.
  • Collaborate with principal scientists and senior chemists to select raw materials and new technologies for product development.
  • Use design of experiments and statistical analysis to optimize product formulations and mitigate potential stability challenges.
  • Develop and finalize scientific product concepts and support the development of new formulations from ideation to launch.
  • Source new raw material technologies and identify opportunities for innovation and growth.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 3+ years of research experience in topical applications or ingredient selection.
  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related scientific field.
  • Strong knowledge of GLP and GMP guidelines and regulatory requirements applicable to cosmetic and OTC products.
  • Demonstrated research skills and established networking with raw materials suppliers.
  • Experience with design of experiments and statistical analysis is an asset.
