Application Support Specialist

Job Summary
As a key member of our IT team, the Application Support Analyst will be responsible for leading the technical support for various applications within our internal and external information space. This role will involve managing all aspects related to supporting, maintaining, and improving the use of these applications, as well as implementing new applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in application support and/or business analysis, with experience in ERP systems, e-commerce platforms, and CRM applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a liaison between business and technical resources to build solutions and manage projects.
- Manage application enhancements, EDI integrations, and resolve production support issues, utilizing skills such as coding, configuration, and data queries.
- Develop a deep understanding of application architecture and workflows, particularly as it relates to data movement across multiple application systems.
- Document subject matter expertise to assist in capturing and perpetuating knowledge within the teams.
- Engage effectively with team members and business partners to maintain strong, healthy, honest relationships.
- Identify opportunities to improve application use in business processes and automate IT processes.
- Implement new applications to support business deliverables, becoming the IT subject matter expert.
- Travel as required, up to 20% within Canada and the United States.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Commerce, Logistics/Supply Chain, and/or Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Three years of application support and/or business analysis experience, or Five years of experience in supply-chain management, warehouse management, and similar systems.
- Experience supporting and/or using all aspects of ERP systems, e-commerce platforms, and CRM applications.
- Natural curiosity to learn, troubleshoot issues, and understand root causes of problems.
- Strong leadership and communication skills to manage cross-functional teams and enhance business and team member relationships.
- Experience with IBM i or zSeries systems is an asset.
- Certification and/or experience in project management is an asset.
