About Our Opportunity

The Government of Nova Scotia is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Administrative Coordinator to provide senior administrative support to the Associate Deputy Minister and Chief of System Integration.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the efficient operation of administrative support functions through effective office management.
  • Prepare and compose confidential correspondence, reports, and presentations on behalf of senior leadership.
  • Route and prioritize all documents, incoming mail, inquiries, and correspondence.
  • Coordinate and manage schedules and calendars, as well as travel and accommodations as required.
  • Arrange meetings and events.
  • Ensure constant innovation and administrative process improvements.
Qualifications and Experience

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A one-year business course and five years of senior office administration/secretarial experience in government.
  • Excellent grammar, proofreading, and organizational skills.
  • Exceptional ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to address and manage client inquiries.
  • Experience in ensuring confidentiality in all work and establishing and building relationships with stakeholders and other levels of government.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
  • Familiarity with STAR/STOR, SuccessFactors, SAP, Ariba, and/or Flextrack systems.
