About the Role
The Government of Nova Scotia is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Administrative Coordinator to provide senior administrative support to the Associate Deputy Minister and Chief of System Integration. This is a critical role that requires a master multi-tasker with excellent communication skills and a professional work ethic.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing and composing confidential correspondence, reports, and presentations on behalf of senior leadership;
- Routing and prioritizing all documents, incoming mail, inquiries, and correspondence;
- Coordinating and managing schedules and calendars, as well as travel and accommodations as required;
- Arranging meetings and events;
- Ensuring constant innovation and administrative process improvements.
Requirements and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will have successfully completed a one-year business course and have five years of senior office administration/secretarial experience in government. You will be a self-motivated individual who works well independently and participates fully in a team environment. You will possess excellent grammar, proofreading, and organizational skills, as well as exceptional ability to manage competing priorities.

Working Conditions
Most of your time will be spent in a comfortable office setting. Your normal work week is 35 hours/week, 7 hours/day. You may be required to work overtime on occasion. Occasionally, you may need to move or lift objects such as boxes, inventory, or files.
