Job Summary:

Maintain accurate records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory while supervising staff. Demonstrate new cooking techniques and equipment to the team, plan menus that meet quality standards, and prepare meals for events in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.

Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and record food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory
  • Train staff on new cooking techniques and equipment
  • Supervise specialist chefs, chefs, cooks, and other kitchen workers
  • Create new recipes for special occasions and events
  • Instruct cooks on food preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation
  • Prepare and cook complete meals for banquets and special functions
  • Supervise cooks and other kitchen staff
  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies
  • Plan menus to ensure high-quality dishes
  • Train staff on food preparation, cooking, and handling
