Job Description

At Château de Mercuès, we seek an exceptional Executive Pastry Chef to lead our culinary team. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for managing the production and execution of all pastry menus offered by the hotel. You will be expected to train and supervise a staff of pastry cooks to execute production in the pastry line.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide a consistently exceptional experience for all guests.
  2. Ensure excellence in guest satisfaction by maintaining a positive and committed attitude.
  3. Participate in staff education plans, including on-the-job training.
  4. Maintain acceptable attendance records.
  5. Meet Health & Safety requirements.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 6 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Ability to multitask while remaining focused on the goal.
  • Excellent verbal communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to express creativity through food selections, preparation, and presentation.
  • Detail-oriented and able to remain calm in high-stress situations.

Work Conditions and Physical Requirements:

  • Able to interact professionally with guests and coworkers.
  • Able to lift 50+ lbs.
  • Stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
