Communications Business Partner

We are seeking a Communications Business Partner to join our team at WorkSafeNB. As a trusted adviser to senior managers, this role will plan, direct, and control the delivery of communication strategies that support business goals and objectives.
About the Role:This is a two-year term contract position in our Communications department. The successful candidate will provide communications advisement, consultation, and coaching to leaders and employees as it relates to communication management.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement communication plans that build trust, confidence, and engagement among the public and help the organization reach its business goals and objectives.
- Provide strategic communications planning, stakeholder relations management, and internal communications that foster employee engagement through alignment with operational and strategic goals.
- Deliver communication products that convey desired messages and results affecting the organization.
- Be a brand ambassador and provide marketing communications that provide consistency of brand and delivery of organization's value and reputation.
- A Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, or another applicable discipline with a minimum of three (3) years of progressive experience in communications, public relations, or related role.
- Experience with corporate branding, internal communications, and external marketing.
- Experienced with external communications across multiple channels, including social media.
- Understanding of copyright law, media law, the Right to Information and Protection of Privacy Act (RTIPPA), and the Personal Health Information Privacy and Access Act (PHIPAA).
- Experience working with the media and government relations.
- Experience advising/consulting employees, leaders, and teams as it relates to communication management.
- Understanding of the Canadian Public Relations Society's Code of Professional Standards and International Business Communication Standards.
- Understanding of Canadian Press (CP Style).
- Understanding of the Official Languages - Language of Service Policy and Guidelines and Plain Language Guidelines (Province of New Brunswick).
- Knowledge of legislation and best practices in areas of communications, government, and media relations.
Written and spoken competence in English is required. Pay Scale $75,471.35 to $88,789.13. Benefits include vacation and sick time. Your primary workspace will be from your in-home office, with the occasional expectation of in-person meetings; for that reason, working from outside the province of New Brunswick, or country, is not permissible.
