Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain a caseload to effectively support individuals in need.
  • Complete intakes and assessments to understand client needs and develop tailored support plans.
  • Provide problem-solving and referral counseling to residents, promoting independence and self-sufficiency.
  • Foster relationships with community resources and services to ensure seamless referrals and support.
  • Provide basic amenities such as evening coffee and snack, and maintain a clean environment.
  • Design and implement interview schedules to evaluate client progress and adjust support plans accordingly.
  • Assist front desk staff as needed, responding to client issues and crises in a professional and empathetic manner.
  • Be available to respond to client issues in the dining hall and kitchen during meal times.
  • Record activities and incidents accurately using Log Book and/or Incident Book.
  • Contact emergency services when necessary, prioritizing client safety and well-being.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding client and staff information.
  • Work closely with supervisors, carrying out tasks and responsibilities assigned.
Organizational Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate knowledge of The Salvation Army Booth Centre Policy and Procedures Manual.
  • Maintain regular supervision meetings with the Program Director.
  • Model professional qualities, including self-motivation, punctuality, and personal hygiene.
  • Commit to and sign the agency and clients' confidentiality form.
  • Attend staff meetings, training workshops, and conferences as authorized.
  • Work within the mandate and mission of The Salvation Army.
  • Represent The Salvation Army Booth Centre in a professional manner.
Working Conditions

This is a permanent part-time position requiring flexibility in scheduling. Schedules may vary according to requirements and responsibilities, with a 30-minute unpaid meal break.

Applicable shifts include 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. on Fridays, Saturdays, and statutory holidays as required.

May work with clients who may exhibit challenging behavior.
