Laboratory Technologist Position in a Dynamic Healthcare Setting

We are seeking a highly skilled Laboratory Technologist to join our dynamic team at Halton Healthcare. As a key member of our laboratory services department, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to our organization's mission of exemplary patient experiences.
Job SummaryThe successful candidate will be responsible for performing various tasks in the Biochemistry, Hematology, and Transfusion Medicine departments. This includes but is not limited to, analyzing blood samples, operating complex equipment, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive testing and analysis of blood samples in the Biochemistry, Hematology, and Transfusion Medicine departments
- Operate and maintain routine automated equipment to ensure accurate test results
- Collaborate with laboratory staff and other healthcare professionals to resolve issues and optimize patient care
- Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory standards
- Current registration with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Ontario
- Recent experience (3-5 years) in a core lab environment with a strong working knowledge of Biochemistry, Hematology, and Transfusion Medicine
- Flexibility to provide coverage at multiple sites (Oakville and Milton) as operational needs arise
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment
- A positive attitude, with a commitment to providing exceptional patient care and promoting a culture of safety and excellence
This permanent part-time position offers a competitive salary of $34.56-$46.32 per hour, depending on experience.
