Halton Healthcare, a leading healthcare organization in Ontario, is seeking a skilled Medical Laboratory Technologist to join our team. As a member of our laboratory services department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest quality patient care.
About the JobThis permanent part-time position offers an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to work in a dynamic environment. You will be responsible for performing all duties in the Biochemistry, Hematology, and Transfusion Medicine departments, utilizing your strong working knowledge of these areas.
- Current registration with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Ontario is required.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of recent experience in a core lab environment is preferred.
- You should have a strong working knowledge of Biochemistry, Hematology, and Transfusion Medicine.
- Familiarity with routine automated equipment is essential.
- Flexibility in providing coverage at Oakville and Milton sites may be required based on operational needs.
- As a collaborative member of a team, you must be able to work effectively with others.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to read, write, speak, and understand English, are necessary.
- You must also be able to meet the physical demands of the position.
