Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Medical Laboratory Technologist to join our team as a Core Lab Specialist. As a key member of our Laboratory Services department, you will be responsible for all duties in the Biochemistry, Hematology, and Transfusion Medicine departments. Your strong working knowledge of these areas, combined with your ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment, will make you a valuable asset to our team.

This is a Permanent Part-time position, offering flexibility in terms of schedule and location. You will have the opportunity to provide coverage at both Oakville and Milton sites, depending on operational needs.

Responsibilities
  • Perform a wide range of laboratory tests and procedures, ensuring accuracy and reliability in results
  • Maintain equipment and supplies, adhering to quality control standards
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure effective patient care
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with latest developments in medical laboratory technology
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A current registration with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Ontario
  • Recent experience (3-5 years) in a core lab environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing time efficiently

You must also be able to read, write, speak, and understand English fluently, and meet the physical demands of the position.
