Job Summary

The Infrastructure Project Coordinator will be responsible for managing the planning and delivery of construction and special projects, with a total value of up to $20 million. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Engineering or Architecture and 7 years of experience in project management.

About the Role

This role is located in Inuvik and reports to the Regional Manager, Projects. The scope of activities undertaken or managed includes:

  • Project management for the delivery of Capital and O&M projects
  • Consulting with other Government Departments, Hamlets, Community Organizations, and Non-Governmental Organizations
  • Mentoring and/or supervising Project Officers and Seasoned Project Officers
Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will have knowledge of the project management process, including project planning, scheduling, contracting, supervision of professional consultants and contractors, and inspections. They will also possess planning, time management, and scheduling skills, as well as project management skills, including estimating and financial skills to develop and control budgets for capital and O&M projects.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, the candidate must have:

  • A degree in Engineering or Architecture
  • 7 years of experience in project management
  • Supervisory or mentoring experience would be an asset
Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is between $80,000 and $120,000 per year, depending on experience. The Government of the Northwest Territories offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision coverage, as well as a pension plan.
