We are seeking an experienced Project Director to lead our Heavy Civil Construction projects. This role will oversee the planning, execution, and closeout of multiple large-scale construction projects in Yellowknife, NWT.

Salary

The estimated salary for this position is between $120,000 and $180,000 per year, depending on experience.

Job Description

This role will involve:

  • Leading project teams to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards;
  • Developing and managing project plans, budgets, and schedules;
  • Coordinating with stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies;
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards;
  • Managing risks and resolving issues that may arise during project execution;
  • Maintaining accurate records and reports to ensure transparency and accountability.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Engineering, Geology, or a related field;
  • At least 12 years of experience in heavy civil construction project management;
  • Experience working in Northern Canada is an asset;
  • Knowledge of industry practices and regulations;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Location
