Business Development Specialist
**About the Role**
As a Business Development Specialist at Scotiabank, you will play a key role in driving business growth and development for our small business clients. You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of high-value and complex relationships, providing exceptional service, and building strong relationships with clients and the local business community.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Manage an assigned portfolio of small business owner relationships to achieve retention and other negotiated goals
* Develop relationships with various Centres of Influence to create a strong presence within the local business community
* Proactively engage with new and existing clients to build strong, ongoing relationships and provide comprehensive advice
* Partner with fellow advisors to create a customer-centric environment
**Requirements**
* Results-oriented attitude and sound knowledge of the small business market
* Excellent business development techniques and conversance with small business legal structures and life cycles
* Good organizational skills and flexibility to adapt to a constantly changing environment
* Strong relationship builder and communicator
* Education in a business-related discipline or equivalent work experience as a small business owner
