Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Specialist to join our team at Scotiabank. As a Business Development Specialist, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of high-value and complex small business owner relationships to achieve retention and other negotiated goals while meeting Scotiabank's Service Standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with small business owners to understand their financial needs and provide comprehensive advice to help them build successful businesses.
- Partner with fellow advisors to create a customer-centric environment and provide exceptional service to our clients.
- Stay up-to-date with market trends and competitor offerings to provide innovative solutions to our clients.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify business opportunities and develop strategies to achieve growth.
Requirements
- Results-oriented attitude with sound knowledge of the small business market, including financial statements, risk management policies, and legal and security documentation.
- Excellent business development techniques and strong communication skills to build and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Good organizational skills and flexibility to adapt to a constantly changing environment.
- Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
