Salary Range
$75,000 - $100,000 CAD per year. We offer competitive compensation packages, comprehensive benefits, performance-based bonus programs with annual salary reviews, days off outside of vacation entitlement, and ongoing professional development opportunities.
Job Description
The Structural Design & Airworthiness Engineer will carry out structural design & airworthiness tasks related to the installation and integration of SKYTRAC Systems products on customer aircraft. You'll develop necessary structural design documentation, including equipment installation, antenna installation, ICA, supplemental inspections, etc.
You'll also develop necessary structural compliance documentation, including certification plans, structural analysis, damage tolerance & fatigue analysis, weight & balance reports, etc. Liaising with Transport Canada DARs is essential to ensure designs and compliance documentation meet airworthiness requirements.
Liaising with engineers of various technical backgrounds is crucial to incorporate all technical and airworthiness requirements into designs.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Engineering Degree from an accredited University (Aerospace, Mechanical or Structural) or equivalent industry experience
- Minimum of three years of structural/mechanical design experience or a minimum of two years of aircraft structural/mechanical design experience
- Fundamental understanding of structural and mechanical principles
- Ability to work in AutoCAD and SolidWorks applications
- Two years of experience in design, analysis, and/or certification of aircraft modifications
