About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Asset Reliability Expert to join our team at Maple Leaf Foods. As a key member of our Asset Reliability Group, you will play a critical role in advancing manufacturing reliability and maturity across our facilities in Canada and the U.S.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement and Maintain Asset Management Programs: Assist in developing and implementing corporate asset management and reliability programs across the network, ensuring alignment with industry best practices.
  • Strategic Asset Reliability Projects: Monitor and provide insights on strategic asset reliability projects, ensuring timely updates to key stakeholders.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and refine asset management strategies for both critical and non-critical assets, driving business value and operational excellence.
  • Asset Performance Analysis: Analyze asset performance data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement, informing data-driven decision making.
  • Reliability Engineering: Apply best practices for asset management and reliability engineering, ensuring the development of robust and effective asset management strategies.
  • Reporting and Presentations: Prepare detailed reports and presentations on asset performance, reliability metrics, and project progress for management review, ensuring clear and concise communication.
  • Benchmarking and Innovation: Participate in benchmarking activities to compare asset performance against industry standards and best practices, identifying opportunities for improvement and driving innovation.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Education in a technical, engineering, or STEM field required; 3-5 years of experience in asset reliability, maintenance, or operational excellence in fast-paced manufacturing or industrial environments preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Knowledge of maintenance and reliability concepts and techniques, familiarity with preventive and predictive maintenance best practices, experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), preferably SAP.
  • Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, effective collaboration with cross-functional teams, ability to prepare and present detailed reports on asset performance and project progress to management and stakeholders.
  • Professional Certifications: Professional Engineering Association Membership (P.Eng.); Six Sigma training and/or MBA or equivalent qualifications desirable.
