Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate individual to join our team as a Transportation Associate at Southlake Regional Health Centre. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for transporting patients to and from various departments within the hospital, as well as transporting specimens, blood, pharmaceuticals, supplies, equipment, and materials.
Key Responsibilities
- Transport patients to and from all departments in the hospital, ensuring a safe and timely manner.
- Transport specimens, blood, pharmaceuticals, supplies, equipment, and materials as required.
- Complete necessary documentation associated with assigned duties.
- Work a variety of shifts, including days, nights, evenings, and weekends, as required.
Primary Responsibilities
- Perform routine and terminal cleaning of patient rooms, including isolation patient rooms.
- Clean and remake patient beds, stretchers, wheelchairs, IV poles, and commodes.
- Perform routine and complete cleaning of offices, examination rooms, washrooms, lounges, locker rooms, lobbies, waiting areas, diagnostic, and therapeutic areas.
- Replenish dispensers, including paper towels, toilet paper, and hand care products.
- Perform between-case and terminal cleaning of OR theatres, PORR suite, LDR case rooms, and nursery areas.
- Clean and restock bassinettes, issolettes, procedure tables.
- Perform routine floor and carpet care, including damp/wet mopping, scrubbing, dust mopping, sweeping, and vacuuming.
Requirements
- Minimum Grade 12 education.
- Successful completion of required training program within designated time limits.
