Job Requirements

We are seeking an Administrative Support Specialist to join our team at Island Health. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support to our clients, including preparing documents, scheduling appointments, and maintaining accurate records.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to our clients, including preparing documents and scheduling appointments.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including client files and databases.
  • Operate various office equipment, including photocopiers and fax machines.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, staff, and other stakeholders.
  • Work independently and as part of a team to achieve departmental goals.

Requirements

  • Grade 12 graduation or equivalent.
  • One year of recent related clerical experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to type 55 words per minute.
  • Ability to work as a member of a client-focused team.
