Job Title: Nurse Specialist for Home Infusion Services

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our team as a Nurse Specialist for Home Infusion Services. In this role, you will provide specialized infusion, injectable, or oral pharmacological treatments to patients in their homes and/or clinic settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and review individualized nursing care plans for each patient.
  • Conduct patient health assessments and medication administration teaching.
  • Obtain IV access through peripheral IV initiation or central line access (PICC, IVAD, etc.).
  • Prepare and administer various specialized intravenous or injectable pharmacological treatments.
  • Provide patient-centered care according to established care plans or medical directives.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of patient care.

Requirements:

  • Graduated from an accredited nursing education program with a Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree or equivalent.
  • Current registration and good standing with provincial nursing regulatory body.
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Experience in acute care and/or administering specialty pharmaceuticals.
  • Exceptional patient assessment skills and strong communication skills.
