The Physician Navigator plays a vital role in enhancing the experience of physicians within Prairie Mountain Health. This position is dedicated to reducing administrative burdens and providing tailored support to physicians, ensuring they have the necessary resources to deliver exceptional patient care.
", "RESPONSIBILITIES": {"Overview": "The Physician Navigator is responsible for revising and updating the physician orientation process to improve knowledge of regional and provincial services.
", "Responsibilities": ["1. Regularly tour facilities and clinics to solicit feedback from new physicians on additional information that would have been helpful during orientation.
", "2. Maintain a directory of services in PMH, collaborating with clinics, hospitals, managers, and physician groups.
", "3. Develop an intimate knowledge of available tests, their locations, and ordering procedures with Diagnostic Services.
", "4. Ensure all computer access is ready upon start date.
", "5. Provide a comprehensive overview of PMH services, tailored to the specific community.
", "6. Arrange dedicated orientation time for new physicians with Department Chiefs, Site CMOs, and Clinic physicians.
", "7. Curate local resources, including family support information, for communities receiving new physicians.
", "8. Regularly check-in with new physicians to the region.
", "9. Tour facilities and clinics to solicit feedback from established physicians on patient navigation issues.
", "10. Perform exit interviews and report to Executive Management on noticeable issues and patterns.
", "11. Define available procedures in PMH.
", "12. Define referral processes for PMH and Winnipeg.
", "13. Determine clinical issues that can be addressed virtually.
", "14. Define community resources available and how to access them.
", "15. Create communications to physicians about new or updated services.
