Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager, Enterprise Climate Strategy to join our Climate Strategy team at Royal Bank of Canada. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in driving the overall Enterprise vision to own and accelerate RBC's climate ambition and support strategy delivery while ensuring strong cross-enterprise alignment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement sectoral climate strategies to drive emissions reduction target-setting and support business strategies in prioritized sectors, including Energy, Real Estate, Agriculture, and Transportation.

  • Collaborate with multiple lines of business to set climate ambitions and execute business strategies, leveraging your expertise in quantitative economic and financial modeling.

  • Establish and maintain a knowledge and insights management function, staying up-to-date on key technical and strategic developments relevant to this mandate, including updates to industry standards, stakeholder expectations, and public policy.

  • Support the development of common enterprise-level frameworks and tools, such as client engagement frameworks, to facilitate sectoral strategy implementation and coordination across lines of business.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of relevant experience, with at least 3+ years of strategy experience in management consulting or within the corporate strategy function of a global corporation or financial institution.

  • Experience with quantitative economic and financial modeling, as well as working in corporate sustainability and sector decarbonization.

  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize key insights and communicate effectively to executive audiences.

  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple projects and timelines simultaneously.
