About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager, Climate Strategy and Sustainability to join our team at Royal Bank of Canada. As a key member of our Climate Strategy team, you will play a critical role in driving the development and implementation of sectoral climate strategies that support our bank's climate ambitions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the development of sectoral climate strategies, including research and analytical work, to identify opportunities for emissions reduction and decarbonization.
  • Drive the implementation of sectoral strategies across lines of business, including the development of common enterprise-level frameworks and tools.
  • Establish and maintain a knowledge and insights management function, staying up-to-date on key technical and strategic developments relevant to climate strategy and sustainability.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to ensure strong cross-enterprise alignment and effective strategy delivery.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in strategy development, project management, and analytics, with a focus on climate change and sustainability.
  • Experience working in corporate sustainability, sector decarbonization, and quantitative economic and financial modeling.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information and communicate effectively to executive audiences.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
