Job Summary

This is a senior-level role within the Royal Bank of Canada's Climate Strategy team, responsible for driving the development and implementation of sectoral climate strategies. The successful candidate will work closely with multiple lines of business to set climate ambitions and execute business strategies in prioritized sectors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support strategy development, project management, and analytics for emissions reduction target-setting, with a focus on strategic problem-solving and economic analysis.
  • Drive the development of sectoral climate strategies, including research and analytical work on decarbonization pathways and sectoral climate strategies.
  • Support the implementation and coordination of sectoral strategies across lines of business, including the development of common enterprise-level frameworks and tools.
  • Establish and maintain a knowledge and insights management function, staying up-to-date on key technical and strategic developments relevant to the mandate.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of relevant experience, with at least 3+ years of strategy experience in management consulting or within the corporate strategy function of a global corporation or financial institution.
  • Experience with quantitative economic and financial modeling.
  • Experience working in corporate sustainability and sector decarbonization.
  • Experience with structured problem-solving approaches and synthesis of key insights, including clear communication for executive audiences.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple projects and timelines simultaneously.
