Career Coach for Student Success

We are seeking a highly motivated Career Coach to join our team as a Student Success Advisor. As a key member of our support staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring students achieve their academic and career goals.
Job DescriptionMain Responsibilities:
- Organize and conduct New Student Orientation sessions to ensure students feel welcome and supported.
- Met with students regularly to discuss their progress, address any concerns, and provide guidance on how to succeed in their program.
- Diffuse conflicts and provide support to students who may be experiencing difficulties.
- Identify students at risk or in crisis and connect them with relevant resources and supports.
- Implement a student engagement process using various communication methods to support students throughout their program.
- Manage the student exit survey process and make recommendations for improvements based on the results.
- Create personalized Student Success Plans (SSPs) to help students achieve their goals.
- Collaborate with instructors to ensure SSPs and accommodations are implemented effectively.
- Provide guidance on personal issues and connect students with local counseling resources or the student assistance provider when needed.
- Act as a backup instructor for the Student Success Strategies course.
- Manage the Peer Assisted Learning program and assist with the Student Ambassador Program.
- Communicate student progress to instructors and administration while coaching efforts and strategies.
- Approve grades in the College Administration System (XCAS) weekly.
- Assume acting responsibilities as Campus Director when necessary.
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- A post-secondary education in business or technology.
- At least 3 years of management, operational, or administrative experience.
- CPR and Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Certifications would be an asset.
- Experience working with students who require accommodations.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- An understanding of the Private Career College industry is preferred.
- The ability to obtain a valid driver's license and possess reliable transportation.
We offer a competitive salary of $65,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience. Our benefits package includes a comprehensive health insurance plan, group RRSP matching, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
