Community Outreach Running Coach

Start2Finish, a national non-profit organization, seeks a dedicated Community Outreach Running Coach to join our team. As a vital member of our staff, you will play a key role in facilitating after-school programs for students in grades 1-6 at partner elementary schools.
About the RoleThis is an unpaid volunteer position that requires a strong commitment to mentoring and coaching young individuals. The ideal candidate will have excellent leadership skills, be enthusiastic, and enjoy working with children.
In this role, you will lead physical activity sessions, supervise snack time, and engage students in reading activities. You will also have the opportunity to explain a "Word of the Day" and help children record their accomplishments in running and reading each week.
We value a positive and supportive team environment, and all volunteers are required to work together to create a safe and inclusive space for our students.
Time CommitmentThis role requires a time commitment of 1 hour per week for 2 hours after school, which can be on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday. We understand that everyone's schedule is unique, so we offer flexibility to choose the day that works best for you.

- Enjoy working with children
- Strong leadership skills
- Enthusiasm and a positive attitude
- A valid vulnerable sector check (or willingness to obtain one)
