We are seeking a Provincial Education Equity Specialist to join our team in Nova Scotia.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to work with us in promoting inclusive education and supporting students with complex needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead key projects/initiatives to promote safe, inclusive, and equitable school cultures.
  • Provide strategic support and insight to government departments, agencies, and partners to address issues arising in schools.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the province to identify and promote programs of prevention and intervention to support student well-being and achievement.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A Master's Degree in Education with a focus on Inclusive Education or Administration and Policy.
  • At least eight years of experience in developing and carrying out professional development, programs, services, and initiatives in equity education in Nova Scotia public schools.
  • Education leadership experience (coach/mentor, consultant, coordinator, school administration, or equivalent) is required.
