About the Role

Holt Renfrew is seeking a highly skilled Privacy Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our privacy team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the company's compliance with all applicable Canadian federal and privacy legislation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the development and implementation of Holt Renfrew's privacy and CASL program
  • Manage and respond to access to personal information requests, including court orders and subpoenas
  • Coordinate the bi-monthly privacy committee meeting and annual privacy awareness month
  • Track and manage incoming emails in the privacy office mailbox, ensuring prompt responses
  • Administer the annual privacy training, including deployment and completion tracking
  • Maintain data mapping requirements and administer the Privacy Office's monthly reporting duties
  • Conduct daily audits of CASL consents and e-newsletter opt-out links
  • Coordinate and support business areas with the implementation of key action items to ensure compliance with federal and provincial privacy legislation
  • Manage and support internal audit function with any open action items on the risk register impacting privacy and CASL compliance
  • Assign and track privacy and CASL related complaints, issues, breaches, projects, and consultations
Requirements
  • Post-secondary degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Strong organizational skills, including follow-ups, attention to detail, and time management
  • Ability to simplify complex concepts for the audience
  • Demonstrate ability to handle sensitive personal information and topics/situations discreetly
  • Adaptable and comfortable with ambiguity and change
  • Excellent analytical capabilities
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; a team player and individual contributor as required
  • Exceptional writing skills
  • Confident and effective communicator
  • Independent and self-starter
  • Ability to problem-solve and think outside the box
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • French language (written and spoken) would be considered an asset
