Position Overview: We are in search of a Privacy Compliance Specialist to assist the Chief Privacy Officer and the privacy team in the establishment and management of Holt Renfrew's privacy and CASL (Canadian Anti-Spam Legislation) initiatives. The primary objective is to ensure adherence to all relevant Canadian federal and provincial privacy regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in overseeing the organization's privacy, CASL, and risk management compliance programs.
- Handle requests for access to personal information, ensuring compliance with applicable privacy laws.
- Lead bi-monthly privacy committee meetings and coordinate the annual privacy awareness initiatives.
- Manage the privacy office's email communications, ensuring timely responses to inquiries.
- Update and maintain the annual privacy training program, including tracking completion rates.
- Ensure compliance with data mapping requirements.
- Prepare monthly reports for the Executive Team using Excel.
- Conduct regular audits related to CASL consents and e-newsletter opt-out links.
- Support various business units in implementing necessary actions for compliance with privacy legislation.
- Assist with internal audits and track any outstanding action items related to privacy and CASL compliance.
- Manage and monitor privacy-related complaints, issues, and projects.
- Provide support to the Chief Privacy Officer and Privacy Manager.
- Maintain the Privacy Office SharePoint site.
- Perform data analytics for the Privacy Office.
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
- Strong organizational skills with an emphasis on detail and time management.
- Ability to convey complex information clearly to diverse audiences.
- Demonstrated discretion in handling sensitive information.
- Adaptability and comfort with change and uncertainty.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills; capable of working both independently and collaboratively.
- Exceptional writing and communication abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Fluency in French (written and spoken) is an asset.
