Position Overview: We are in search of a Privacy Compliance Specialist to assist the Chief Privacy Officer and the privacy team in developing and managing Holt Renfrew's privacy and CASL (Canadian Anti-Spam Legislation) initiatives. The primary objective is to ensure adherence to all relevant Canadian federal and provincial privacy regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in overseeing the existing privacy, CASL, and risk management compliance programs.
- Handle requests for access to personal information, ensuring compliance with applicable privacy laws.
- Lead bi-monthly privacy committee meetings and coordinate annual privacy awareness initiatives.
- Monitor and respond to inquiries in the privacy office mailbox, ensuring timely communication.
- Update and manage annual privacy training programs, including tracking completion rates.
- Maintain data mapping requirements to ensure accurate documentation.
- Prepare monthly reports for the Executive Team using Excel.
- Conduct regular audits related to CASL consents and e-newsletter opt-out links.
- Support various business units in implementing compliance-related action items.
- Assist with internal audits and manage open action items related to privacy and CASL compliance.
- Track and manage privacy and CASL-related complaints and issues.
- Provide support to the Chief Privacy Officer and Privacy Manager.
- Maintain the Privacy Office SharePoint site.
- Perform data analytics for the Privacy Office.
Qualifications:
- A post-secondary degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
- Strong organizational skills with a focus on detail and time management.
- Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
- Demonstrated discretion in handling sensitive information.
- Adaptability and comfort with change and ambiguity.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills; able to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Exceptional writing and communication abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Fluency in French (written and spoken) is a plus.
