About the Role

MUFG Investor Services is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Financial Associate to join our team. As a key member of our accounting department, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing monthly financial statements, and performing variance analysis.

Job Responsibilities

  • Maintain complete sets of books, prepare journals, and post entries to ensure accurate financial records.
  • Support the preparation of monthly financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements.
  • Reconcile bank accounts, prepare working papers, and review trial balances to support the preparation of financial statements.
  • Prepare payments and verify supporting documentation to ensure proper approvals.
  • Process accounts payable, including utilities, government taxes, and employee expenses.
  • Create client invoices and credit memos in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Resolve invoice discrepancies and issues in a prompt manner.
  • Maintain client/fund data on our system and review client agreements.
  • Process daily bank cash receipts and allocate cash to invoices on the sales ledger.
  • Provide detailed variance analysis on monthly revenue reporting.
  • Prepare Accounts Receivable Aging reports for management.
  • Track and monitor aged receivables and work in progress.
  • Liaise with the Client Operations team on billing queries, aged receivables, WIP, and unidentified cash receipts.

Requirements

  • 1+ year of experience in an accounting-related role.
  • Ability to maintain complex spreadsheets and attention to detail.
  • Highly organized and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Outstanding team player with excellent communication skills.

MUFG Investor Services offers a competitive salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
