About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Regional Manager to lead our Investment Specialist team in the Quebec region. As a key member of our Wealth Management team, you will be responsible for driving business development and sales growth in the mass affluent market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the execution of business development strategies and initiatives for the assigned market area
  • Support the execution of the Investment Specialist Value Proposition and Customer Experience Model
  • Proactively lead business development activities, aligning with Global Sales Principles, to achieve and exceed targets
  • Conduct quarterly reviews of customer financial plans completed by Investment Specialists, providing feedback and coaching on accuracy and client-centric investment recommendations
  • Lead talent & people management initiatives and activities for the assigned market area, including supporting Investment Specialist recruitment and providing leadership and motivation to a team of Investment Specialists
  • Develop strong relationships and partnerships with other leaders and Regional Directors across Wealth Management, Scotia iTRADE, and Canadian Banking
  • Collaborate with other Scotiabank sales management leaders on business development and Centres of Influence (COIs) relationship building activities
  • Manage compliance / regulatory, risk management, operational & finance requirements for the assigned market area

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in Business or related field
  • Mutual Fund Licence, Financial Planning Designation (CFP, PFP or IQPF)
  • 5+ years of experience in the investment industry, with a strong preference for wealth management and/or brokerage experience
  • Expert sales management skills and advanced knowledge of sales techniques and prospecting
  • Proven networking, client acquisition and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and motivate others
  • Ability to cultivate and maintain strong relationships with both internal and external partners
  • Ability to establish and maintain a client-focused sales culture, through expert knowledge of client experience drivers
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and French
