IT Technical Support Specialist with Digital Content Expertise

We're seeking an IT Support Specialist to join our IT team. As the first point of contact for internal support, you'll handle technical issues, educate employees on best practices, and manage IT-related requests efficiently. Your responsibilities will include installing, configuring, and repairing enterprise client workstations, hardware, and software according to standard operating procedures.
To excel in this role, you should have at least 2 years' experience in IT technical support, preferably with a background in Computer Science or IT Systems. Proficiency in Windows environments, Active Directory, and IT security principles is essential. Strong understanding of computer hardware integration, network troubleshooting, and endpoint management tools is also required. Experience with patch management, backup/restoration procedures, and IT ticketing systems is a plus.
You'll be working closely with a skilled team of specialists, collaborating on server and network monitoring, assessing, replacing, and troubleshooting hardware issues, and contributing to corporate documentation. A strong foundation in scripting tools like PowerShell, bash, and batch is highly valued. Ability to work outside regular business hours and adapt to a fast-paced setting is necessary.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent professional writing and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative and customer-focused approach. Bonus points for a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, familiarity with additional operating systems like Linux and Mac, or the ability to lift 15-25 lbs.
This is a full-time position based in Richmond, BC, with a base salary ranging from $57,000 to $63,000.
